Terms of service
1. Who we are
Buildiverse is run by Keldric, Box 699, Kocksgatan 49, 116 29 Stockholm, Sweden. Contact: hello@buildiverse.space. By signing in or buying anything on Buildiverse you accept these terms.
2. For businesses
Buildiverse sells visibility to companies and organisations. You buy on behalf of a business and confirm that you have the right to act for it. Because purchases are made in the course of business, consumer rules such as the right of withdrawal do not apply.
3. What you buy
- Planet. A one-time payment gives your company a place in the universe with your logo, profile and link, for as long as Buildiverse is running.
- Planet tiers. Monthly subscriptions for extra visuals. They renew every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in the billing portal; the tier stays active until the end of the paid month. Your planet, logo and profile stay when a tier ends.
- Campaigns and satellite weeks. Paid in advance for a fixed period, which starts when the payment is confirmed (satellite weeks run Monday to Monday, UTC).
- Orbital stations. Sold by auction, see section 4.
- The rocket. A one-time payment. The first completed payment wins.
What is shown, where and how it looks is described on the site at the time of purchase. We may improve the design and move things around, as long as what you paid for keeps its purpose.
4. Station auctions
- A bid is a binding offer of a price per month for the whole term shown in the auction.
- You need a saved card to bid. The card is checked, not charged, when you save it.
- The three highest bidders are shown publicly with their company name.
- A bid in the last 10 minutes extends the auction by 10 minutes.
- When the auction ends, the highest bidder is charged automatically for the whole term. If that payment fails and is not completed within 24 hours, the term is offered to the next highest bidder.
5. Prices, tax and invoices
Prices are in US dollars and exclude VAT. VAT is added at checkout where it applies. If you enter a valid EU VAT number, the reverse charge rules apply. Payments are handled by Stripe, and you receive an invoice for every purchase.
6. Refunds
Payments are non-refundable once what you bought has been delivered, except where these terms or the law say otherwise. If something you paid for cannot be delivered because of a fault on our side, we refund the part that was not delivered. A refunded payment removes what it paid for.
7. Your content
You are responsible for the name, logo, description and link you add, and you confirm that you have the right to use them. You give us permission to show them on Buildiverse and in material that shows Buildiverse, for as long as they are on the site. We may remove or refuse content that is illegal, misleading, offensive, infringes someone else's rights or links to harmful sites. If content is removed because it breaks these rules, no refund is given.
8. Deals and games
A company can add a discount code to its planet, free of charge. Visitors unlock it by playing a short game of skill. The game is free, there is no draw, and everyone who completes it gets the code. The offer is made by the company: it decides the terms, is responsible for honouring them and for following the rules on price reductions. Buildiverse only shows the code and is not a party to any purchase. We may remove a deal that is misleading or breaks these terms.
9. Rocket Run weekly competition
- Free and a game of skill. Rocket Run is free to play. Nothing is bought to take part, and there is no draw: the best score wins.
- The week. Each competition runs from Monday 00:00 to Sunday 23:59, Swedish time. A run counts for the week in which it started.
- Taking part. Sign in with your email and choose a player name. The leaderboard shows your player name and score only. Names must not be offensive or pretend to be someone else; we may change or remove a name.
- Scores. Only runs our server has checked count: it plays the run again from the recording of the rocket's steering, and the score it gets is the one that counts. A run must be sent within a few hours of starting.
- The winner. The highest checked score of the week wins. Equal scores: the one reached first wins. Each player can win once every four weeks; if the top player won in the four weeks before, the prize goes to the next player.
- The prize. One planet of the winner's choice, free: a code that takes the full price off one planet at checkout. It can be used once, within 30 days, and only on a planet that is free at the time. It cannot be exchanged for money or anything else. The winner finds the code in Rocket Run when signed in. If the winner is under 18, a parent or guardian accepts the prize on their behalf.
- Fair play. Scripts, bots, changed game code, using faults in the game, or several accounts for one person are not allowed. We may remove scores and withhold or take back a prize when the rules are broken.
- Changes. We may change or end the competition. Changes apply from the next week, and a week that has started is completed under the rules it started with.
10. Statistics
Visibility statistics are estimates, given to help you follow your planet. They are not a guarantee of a number of visitors or clicks.
11. Availability and changes
We work to keep Buildiverse running, but cannot promise that it is always available or free of errors. If we decide to close Buildiverse, we will tell customers at least 30 days in advance. We may change these terms; for changes that matter to you, we will give notice on the site or by email at least 30 days before they apply.
12. Liability
Our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the claim. We are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit or lost business. This does not limit liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Law and disputes
Swedish law applies. Disputes are settled by Swedish courts.
